MEMORY #13 (LIFE'S GOAL) // SIGNIFICANT POSITIVE ( . . . ?)
This is hilarious because it's a sig pos that BECOMES A SIG NEG IN AATHER whups :'D
It's referring to like two panels here! This doesn't include his family saying they have no use for him, just the part starting with his grandfather being the only one who would come talk to him, and then it's just the rest of that page.
This is just a conversation with his grandfather, but it was the most important conversation he had in the first 16 years of his life, so! It's a sig pos in canon (though we don't see his reaction to it, but I can't imagine it not bringing him hope) because it's the first time he's told that there's a chance he can become worthy of his family; in Aather it's more like HERE'S YOUR BACKSTORY WHERE YOU COME FROM A FAMILY OF SATANISTS GOSH
* His grandfather tells him he's from a Warsfeil family but has angered Verloren ( . . . Satan basically) in a past life
* BUT THERE'S HOPE IF YOU JUST BECOME A BLACK HAWK
* BECAUSE SATAN WALKS AMONG US AND YOU CAN WORK FOR HIM AND THEN WE'LL LOVE YOU

He doesn't remember exactly what Verloren's deal is yet or who the Seven Ghosts are because that's a different memory, but he learned about Kor in his three wishes memory and knows Verloren's the dude in charge of all that--more of that trickled in during the Kor temptation memory and then this memory. So he will not remember the story of Verloren's fall but he does remember who Verloren is. And now he also knows Verloren is his boss. Oops!
WHAT HE LEARNS
* Only my grandfather would speak to me . . .
* My family was blessed by Verloren, the fallen death god
* I was not considered worthy of my family because I was not a warsfeil
* I could become worthy of them if I became a Black Hawk, so that explains why I was so desperate to do that
* Verloren is my boss . . .
