MEMORY #6 (HYUUGA'S BEATDOWN) // SIGNIFICANT NEGATIVE
FIRST SIG NEG YAY :'D
This memory starts right here and goes until Konatsu passes out.
* Konatsu and Hyuuga are fighting for reasons Konatsu doesn't remember yet!
* Konatsu at this time believes Hyuuga is one of his instructors
* Hyuuga asks him what a sword is; Konatsu replies that it's a weapon
* Hyuuga COMPLETELY OWNS HIM and tells him that a sword is an extension of himself, not a weapon, and that Konatsu doesn't value himself, so he can't use one
* Konatsu sort of LIES THERE IN DESPAIR and then sees a vision of "himself" standing behind Hyuuga, telling him that he doesn't need Hyuuga or his family
* Konatsu gets back up and attacks Hyuuga, but is really aiming at "himself," and Hyuuga points that out, avoiding the strike and slashing him several feet away with the back of his sword
* Konatsu breaks some ribs and gets cut on the arm, but gets up, attacking Hyuuga again; nothing he does will connect at all
* FINALLY PASSES OUT FROM HIS INJURIES \o/
Note that this memory DOES NOT extend to Konatsu grabbing Hyuuga's throat; even in canon he doesn't remember that that happened, because his body is acting while he's unconscious.
WHAT HE REMEMBERS
* My hair is longer in this memory than the others, and I'm in the Academy, so I must be younger.
* Why was I fighting Hyuuga? Was he my teacher at the Academy?
* Hyuuga really knows his shit.
* I'm not as good with a sword here as I remember being.
* Not having self-worth is a problem I've had for a while, and it makes me weaker.
* Why don't I need my own family? What happened between us?
* I really got destroyed in this memory . . .
WHAT THIS MEANS
+ 100 uncertainty about his own skills and self-worth
+ 50 knowledge that he needs to start valuing himself EVEN THOUGH HIS SELF-WORTH JUST TOOK A HIT LOL
+ 500 admiration for Hyuuga
+ 50 "what was wrong with me and my family, why did I have so much darkness inside of me that I felt the need to attack myself?"
+ 1000 first time actually experiencing negative emotions in a memory
. . . Basically this is going to make him sad and unsure but HE WILL HUG/TALK IT OUT OR SOMETHING. It's not going to coma him (wtg Ruby) or lead to permanent emo and the overall message Hyuuga imparts to him in that fight was something he needed to hear right about now anyway. But the comment about his family and the knowledge of how he was when he was younger are going to bother him a lot.
