SIGH MITCHELL! Konatsu's disappointed about it yeah. I mean well he thinks it's A TERRIBLE THING. He's not really mad at Mitchell because he feels he was too much on the sidelines/didn't have the whole story, which he didn't! He doesn't understand the vampire thing fully, or how much Mitchell or TE knew, etc. So he doesn't feel he can be angry, but he is disappointed, because the last he'd known they were just going to handcuff Mitchell but then the next time they talked it was like OOPS I KILLED A GUY. He's felt the strong urge to kill people outside of games himself, and he doesn't even have an addiction! He can kinda sympathize! But he'd really thought it was taken care of and doesn't quite get what happened, and is like M-MITCHELL WHAT THE HELL. THIS WAS A THING WE TALKED ABOUT.

He honestly doesn't think it will happen again, though, because of how Mitchell and TE are approaching it now, and so that much is cool by him; it was learned from, and Sapphire's business is Sapphire's to handle, it's not anyone else's job to punish Mitchell. If it ever did happen again Konatsu would probably be mad enough to fuck him up some himself because it's one thing to make a mistake and another to not learn from it. But he's pretty sure it won't, so while he thinks telling the other teams is a good idea, he's not in the firm THIS IS THE ONLY MORAL DECISION camp--mostly he just thinks it'll come out ANYWAY so dude just do it yourself, be a man, take responsibility because trying to run doesn't work in the end.

In the end, Konatsu's morality is easily affected by circumstances, and in this case he didn't know the victim and also is in the middle of dealing with the fact that he has a predator on his team whom he considers to be much worse and a much more certain future threat, so he's disappointed and :/ but not as mad as he would be if like, Mitchell had murdered Jade or something. DISTRACTED PLUS MORAL DISTANCE means more objectivity yeaaaah.

REVERSE?

Konatsu is actually the person whose opinion Mitchell took most seriously about the whole business, because Konatsu is the only person Mitchell cares about and respects who isn't DIRECTLY related to the whole deal (ie not Sapphire or TE or Knife) and therefore isn't really biased one way or another. So he was super relieved that Konatsu took it well and didn't nailbat him or anything, and Konatsu was basically the only person who could have convinced him to tell everyone about it, which he did.

In general Mitchell's kind of... worried for Konatsu a bit. Since he has to deal with Acedia and thanks to the mirror game Mitchell knows a little bit about how bad Acedia can get, and because Konatsu was obviously stressed enough to snap during Three's heart game and that's never a good thing. He wants to have a talk to him about that but the whole OOPS KILLED A GUY thing kinda overshadowed it too much for him to do it in their last thread. So he might just bring it up again another time.

IS Konatsu still stressed out about augh I can't do anything right like he blew up in Mitchell's direction about?

He's less so but it'll probably hang over him for a while and might explode again someday, since that's actually the second explosion he'd had on that topic, lol. The first time was after he screwed up with Cass and Dera and went off with the Lion for a day to learn how to carry his bonds better, but that only helped temporarily! But now that he's had a total breakdown over it (twice . . . ) etc. he is doing better and resolving to gain some more distance, and so far it's working a bit. It was worse the second time because along with his I WANT TO PROTECT PEOPLE/FIX THINGS issues he had been struggling with ALSO, I WANT TO PLEASE EVERYONE AND NOT EVER MAKE MISTAKES issues and it sort of--trapped him in indecision, because the truth of the matter is there is no way to please everyone, and Konatsu knows from his own canon experiences that when you try, you end up losing yourself and can't please anyone. He needed that kicked back into him, and Jade helped a lot with that after that game, along with other situations and people. So he's regained his own self-worth and realization that it's okay to be himself and make decisions without worrying about EVERYTHING GOING RIGHT FOR EVERYONE EVER AND NO ONE BEING UPSET WITH HIM, as long as he does his best to do something he believes in and can stand behind. He'd lost that and now he kind of has it back, so he's regained himself and feels a lot better, even though life is still stressful in the LAND OF RUBY! 8(d

SO HOW DOES MITCHELL FEEL ABOUT BEING STALKED BY TE THESE DAYS HUH

HE IS ACTUALLY MOSTLY JUST FINE WITH IT I mean he does love his team, and he doesn't mind spending time with his team at all. Which is half the reason he didn't put up a fight about being accompanied all the time! The other half being just wanting to do basically anything to make everyone happy of course. Obviously it gets a bit awkward when he does things like accidentally traumatise Kite by making out with Jaina in front of him oops.

The other unanticipated side effect is that it means Mitchell can't exercise his tendency to stalk off angrily from arguments as effectively as he would like, which I find kind of hilarious. Because he really does tend to run away from arguments instead of resolving them and he kind of... can't so much now. But that only happens very occasionally.

IS KONATSU UP FOR CHAPERONING MITCHELL DUTY?

HE'D BE CONFUSED IF THEY ASKED but then he'd accept it yeah! And probably be the most annoying chaperone because, yeah, naggy. ARE YOU EATING WELL ENOUGH HOW DID YOU SLEEP etc. And if Mitchell made out with anyone in front of him he'd be like WH-WHAAAT?! Konatsu has this weird thing where he pretty much assumes everyone he meets is chaste and unattached and doesn't do sexual things until he's presented with direct evidence to the contrary. He's never considered before that Mitchell might have things going on with people because. It just doesn't occur to him . . . :|a

Speaking of which, what is up with that anyway, is he exclusive with Jaina or is it a fooling around thing or! STATE OF MITCHELL'S PANTS GO

WHO KNOWS MAN he and Jaina had been flirting with each other for a while, so he figured she should be one of the first people he told about the vampire/killing business, so he did that and she kissed him and then they chased off Kite and had sex. So from his point of view it's just yay we had fun and get on well let's do that again sometime. I mean they're only now having a relatively deep and meaningful conversation the day after that XD

From what I know as a player, Jaina wants both Mal and Mitchell and Mitchell would be totally okay with this if he knew cause he has vampire sensibilities when it comes to relationships (even if he doesn't know that's where he gets it from) which is PRETTY FREE AND EASY. Except for being kind of confused about her still liking him after he killed the other guy she likes but okay if you're sure that's fine then it's fine!

Okay so Konatsu is VERY MONOGAMOUS and will never act on anything with anyone else. It's just a thing for him because he sees relationships as like--he doesn't ever feel guilty for being attracted to anyone else, and it actually doesn't bother him when Dusk is either, but they're in an exclusive relationship and what matters is not breaking that trust! And he knows that he himself wouldn't be okay with Dusk fooling around with anyone else because he's too jealous, and he thinks maybe Dusk wouldn't be cool with him doing it either, so this is the arrangement they have! and in his estimation he's fine with having minor attractions and with Dusk having minor attractions as long as there's no ACTUAL TOUCHING.

So as for the STATE OF KONATSU'S PANTS uh let's see. He liked Natalia a lot but she went home 8( He definitely had a crush on her and was really confused about the fact that she liked him back and also . . . liked Dusk . . . who also liked her . . . GOSH HE TRIED NOT TO THINK ABOUT THAT.

In general he's easily attracted to small, blonde/redhead women who are of a higher social rank than he is, so Natalia, and he thinks Sharon is very lovely, and he thinks Alena is attractive too even though she's also kind of a bro! And of course he's attracted to Jade, as came out publicly in the quiz game lol. I'M DRAWING A BLANK ON ANYONE ELSE--

EXCEPT! Konatsu also sort of--doesn't know what to do with his motherly/brotherly/protective feelings sometimes. They're a bit tangled up with his attraction-feelings mostly because he sorts Hyuuga into both categories, of "Someone I have a crush on" (which he remembers now that he did) and "Someone I need to take care of because he's childish and incompetent." So there's a little bit of internal confusion that mostly comes out in highly emotional situations with people he's very protective towards. In the thread where Shuri took his Antwort memory Konatsu had his FIRST EVER inkling of attraction to him, and then was immediately like HA HA WHAT WAS THAT . . . UGH. He's generally not attracted to Shuri at all but it was a tense moment and it sort of expressed itself oddly (plus the memory-taking itself was kind of. weird). He's had similar feelings for Gokudera before, where when Dera's depressed or crying and Konatsu's trying to comfort him, there's a tiny part of him that's like, WELL, KISS HIM, THAT WOULD HELP. (Though it's mostly "kiss him on the forehead" or something, not "make out with him," but Konatsu realizes that even that much would be kind of awkward.)

BUT YEAH that's pretty much it. He used to casually crush on more people but he's less preoccupied with that now. Kind of. Ish.
